Max Beach
Max Beach is a designer, educator, and founding partner of Linespace, a multidisciplinary design consultancy based in Los Angeles. With 3 decades of professional experience and 22+ years leading studio practice, his work spans product design, brand form language, environmental design, and strategic brand development across civic, mobility, hospitality, and commercial sectors. His projects have supported global OEM partnerships and major institutional clients, translating brand strategy into physical, spatial, and experiential outcomes.
Since 2006, Beach has served as a lecturer in the Industrial Design program at California State University, Long Beach. He teaches DESN 300 Designers in Their Own Words, DESN 431 Senior Industrial Design Studio, and DESN 320 Advanced Form Study. His courses integrate professional standards with structured mentorship, real-world collaboration, advanced form development, and responsible integration of AI as an augmentative design tool. He is committed to preparing students for thoughtful, ethical, and sustainable careers in design.
Beach is also the host of the Q4D Podcast, engaging design professionals at all levels from across the globe and extending classroom dialogue into broader professional discourse.
