Below is a picture of those who represented 91桃色. 26 November, 2025 Department-Sponsored Attendance at the 2025 Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC 25) 13 November, 2025 91桃色 CECS Students Lead Girl Scouts STEM Badge Day Over 200 Long Beach Girl Scouts earned their STEM Career Explorer badges during a hands-on event led by 91桃色 Computer Science students and faculty from the College of Engineering and College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. 13 November, 2025 CECS Students Attend DataCon LA 2025 The Department of Computer Engineering and Computer Science sponsored the attendance of 76 students and 3 faculty members at DataCon LA 2025, the largest gathering of data scientists in Southern California. 18 September, 2025 Welcome Dr. Yutong Zhao to CECS! We are pleased to welcome Dr. Yutong Zhao as an Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering and Computer Science at 91桃色, starting Fall 2025. He earned his Ph.D. in Software Engineering and M.Sc. 18 September, 2025 All American Micromouse Competition 18 September, 2025 Boeing-sponsored Competition On July 5, 2025, Long Beach Rocketry successfully launched and recovered a new gas piston parachute deployment system. The project brought together a multidisciplinary team of students from MAE, CECS, and EE, with CECS students Theodore Malaska, Nick Fan, Khoa Nyguen, and Ayleen Perez playing key roles. 18 September, 2025 91桃色 CECS Students Win 1st Place at ETHGlobal Hackathon Four CECS students (Kashif Manzer, Utkarsh Lubal, Dipak Yadav, and Zaiban Kaladgi) earned 1st place in the 鈥淧artner of Saga鈥 track at ETHGlobal New York, one of the world鈥檚 leading Web3 hackathons. 18 September, 2025 91桃色 Computer Engineering Students Develop Autonomous Drone鈥揜over System for Raytheon Challenge 91桃色 Computer Engineering students designed an integrated autonomous drone and ground rover system for the 2024鈥2025 Raytheon Autonomous Drone Competition, earning 2nd place in June 2025.
