GERN 600 is a 15-week hybrid seminar designed to develop leadership, management, and administrative skills for students in Gerontology and Family & Consumer Sciences. Offered in Spring 2026, this course meets Wednesdays from 6:00–8:45 PM and is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

We are proud to share the highlights of our 2024–2025 Annual Report, showcasing a year of meaningful progress in education, research, and community engagement. Our research efforts have focused on understanding the evolving needs of older adults, generating valuable insights that inform programs and services.

In January 2018, the City of Long Beach made a public commitment to enhance the quality of life of residents as they age by joining AARP's Network of Age-Friendly Communities.
