What do Older Adults and People with Disabilities Need to Know + New information on COVID-19 vaccination

The National institute on aging is accepting applications for the 2020 NIA Butler-Williams Scholars Program.

Scholarship for Health and Independence of Seniors  Scan Health Plan is offering Undergraduate and Graduate students enrolled in majors within the College of Health & Human Services the opportunity to receive scholarships of up to $5,000 per awardee.

Ten Cal State Long Beach students from the College of Health and Human services were selected to receive scholarships of $5,000  each. The scholarships were created courtesy of the SCAN Health Plan and were awarded in collaboration with the Center for Successful Aging at Cal State Long Beach.

We would like to thank all who attended our May 10th event aiming to further develop opportunities between 91��ɫ and the broader community in improving quality of life for older adults in Long Beach and beyond.

RAND is pleased to announce the 26th annual RAND Summer Institute (RSI), which will take place in Santa Monica, CA, July 8-11, 2019. The RSI consists of tho conferences addressing critical issues facing our aging population: a Mini-Medical School for Social Scientists (July 8-9) and a workshop on the Demography, Economics, Psychology, and Epidemiolog

Location: Bethesda, MD Date: July 29-August 2, 2019 Application Deadline: March 22, 2019 Eligibility: Qualified applicants must hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D., etc.). Only applicants working in the field of aging or actively considering this research field will be considered.
