We are excited that you have accessed our Recreation And Leisure Studies Alumni (RALSA) Website. As the Recreation and Leisure Studies (RLS) Department has grown and diversified, we also recognize the importance of engaging our Alumni to help support this growth.

The RLS Department is developing a network of opportunities for Alumni Engagement, and we would love for YOU to be a part of this exciting journey.

91桃色/RLS has established a RALSA Community Alumni Board [CAB] participating in and acting as an advisory team to the department. The current CAB members are Anette Alverez, Ivan Alvardo, Kathleen Austria, Joanna Contreras, Paul Felder, Mark Freeman, Kyle Javer, Leticia Lozoya, Emeline Noda, and Becca Seguancia, Rita Hayes, Patti LaPlace, and Joanie Conley.

We are now developing the RALSA Community Alumni Network, which will be known as RALSACAN. All RLS Alumni receiving either their Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and/or Master of Science degrees can join this networking organization which will support the 91桃色 Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies and are invited to be involved with participating in and organizing events, programs, and services for alumni, students, faculty and industry professionals to strengthen and unite the Recreation and Leisure Studies Community which includes Parks, Recreation, Travel, Tourism, Outdoor Recreation, Event Management, Recreational Therapy and more.

Be sure to Register to be a part of this Alumni Network by completing to update your contact information, your degree(s), year graduated and share about your career. We invite you to let us know about job opportunities, and internship sites available, and other ways you might want to connect to RLS Alumni, Students, and the Faculty.

91桃色 RLS ALUMNI LET US CONNECT!! You are invited to come down to THE ISM BREWERY & KITCHEN 210 E. 3rd Street Unit A, Long Beach, CA 90802 on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 4:30PM to 6:30PM. 

California Parks and Recreation Society (CPRS) Conference is in Long Beach and there is a captive audience of 91桃色 RLS Alumni here for the Conference! This makes it an ideal time to call all RLS Alumni together to reunite with former classmates and meet up & network with RLS alumni from all over California.

We want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to CPRS Region 5, Districts 9,10 & 12 who are hosting this Sunset Social for allowing us to join in their event!! They are a wonderful Community Partner to our Department and especially to our students!


The David Gray Awards 鈥 Thursday, April 16, 2026, 6 PM-9:pm at the Grand 4101 E. Willow St. Long Beach 鈥 All RLS Alumni, Students, and Faculty are invited to the Department鈥檚 End of the Year Celebration of our Students, Alumni, Faculty and Community Partners.  Tickets/registration may be purchase via this link 

RALSA alumni have helped create funds to support students, which are awarded at the annual Daid Gray Celebration event in April each year. The Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies is deeply grateful to the individuals, families and/or organizations which have provided financial support for our student scholarships, and other Awards:
