Center of Successful Associate, Dr. Edward Garcia, was invited to present on "Hearing Loss and Social Isolation" at the American Association of Service Coordinator (AASC) 2022 Annual conference.

The Center of Successful Aging Director Dr. Iveris Martinez appeared on the podcast "Connecting The Dots". She was interviewed multiple times to speak on topics related to anthropology and how can we better manage the Aging populations. The Podcasts: January 19, 2022 "Health Care and the Anthropologist"

With a deeply rooted commitment to serving the aging population in the local community, the Long Beach Aging Services Collaborative (LBASC) was given the Leadership Innovation Award from the Los Angeles Alliance for Community Health and Aging (LAACHA).

Scholarship for Health and Independence of Seniors  Scan Health Plan is offering Undergraduate and Graduate students enrolled in majors within the College of Health & Human Services the opportunity to receive scholarships of up to $5,000 per awardee.

The Center for Successful Aging is proud to share our 2020-2021 Annual Report. This past year brought about numerous collaborations, increased community engagement, and the implementation of programs to better serve the needs of older adults through the challenges of a global pandemic.

The City of Long Beach has collaborated with California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF), EveryoneOn and human-I-T to create a centralized digital platform where community members can find low-cost internet and computer services.
